No one turned. 0910 — subject present under the desk during a phone call. Phone held to ear the whole time; subject not acknowledged. 1140 — long gap in observations. Hours pass with nothing to enter. 1315 — subject beside a heap of papers, one sheet gone red at the edges. Subject unmoved by this. 1330 — colleague speaks at length about a week away. Subject listens, or seems to. 1600 — subject last seen crossing under the meeting table, undercarriage undetermined. Species: unknown. Behaviour: unknown. Conclusion: I don't know.
