LOW BATTERY THURSDAY Contents of one coffee table, approximately 7:43 p.m.: — one plastic bottle, tilted, its work done — a bowl holding red, yellow, green: the consolation prizes, the whole spectrum of losing gracefully — a clock face with a small toy wedged against it, which is either a question or an answer — the heat of a lamp that never appears — a dog who has decided this is none of his business — a blanket whose departure is in progress — Duplo bricks distributed as evidence — the room itself, pressing in from all sides, soft at the edges, insistent Note: nothing here requires action. Note: this is enough.
