FIELDY? (n.)
1. A territory whose boundaries are dotted, indicating surveyor uncertainty or subject resistance to enclosure. Cf. STRATEGY (parcel 4, SE quadrant), whose borders were drawn with unusual care for something so preliminary.
2. (informal) A person, concept, or land-mass. May resolve upon closer inspection. May not.
3. The comic centre of any given Sunday. Its ambiguity should not be interpreted as a flaw in the cartography. The cartography is correct.
