FIELD OBSERVATION — Aro Valley, Wellington Date: 8 February 2026 Conditions: Overcast, 14°C, SE wind moderate Subject: Domestic stillness (Familia sapiens, resting state) At 0900h, no movement detected in the front rooms. At 1030h, a kettle — confirmed by steam plume visible through north-facing window, duration ~4 minutes. At 1115h, small figure (juvenile, est. 4–6 yrs) crosses the hallway carrying something red. Returns without it. At 1300h, all curtains remain half-drawn. The letterbox flag has not been raised. The car has not moved. Note: The house appears to be breathing. Slow, regular contractions of light behind glass. No alarm. No distress. At 1500h, I record the wind speed and abandon the clipboard. There is nothing to count here. The data is the absence of data.
